Who Should Attend This Training Course?

This 1 day course is intended for everyone whose job involves using petrol driven cut off saws and any abrasive wheels and equipment.

Course Aims

The overall aim of the course is to provide theoretical and practical training for any person who may have to use, maintain or inspect petrol driven saws and other abrasive wheels and equipment.

Course Benefits

This course will introduce delegates to legislation which governs the use and inspection of small tools and equipment. The delegate will be instructed in operating it safely and will get to observe and practice operating the saw and angle grinders. Delegates will then be observed mounting a disk/blade on a petrol saw and other types of equipment.

Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
Hazards and ways to avoid them
Safe operating procedures required when using equipment
Unsafe practices to be avoided while using equipment
Use of PPE
Avoiding health risks from incorrect use
Theory test
Practical test
