Course Content

• An Introduction to The Health and Safety at Work Act, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and the Working at Height Regulations 2005.


• Application of JSP 375 Volume 3 Chapter 7.


• Types of Work at Height, Safe Systems of Work for Work at Height, Safety Management Team, Authorised Climbers, Risk Assessment for Works at Height.


• Fall Protection Equipment (FPE) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).


• Safety Documentation Monitoring & Auditing.

The theory of the course is delivered in the classroom, but there is an emphasis on hands on practical experience with relevant equipment wherever this is possible.

Who Should Attend?

This course is suited to learners nominated for appointment as authorising engineer, authorising person or person in charge working at height, on masts and towers and fixed accessway.
