Course Overview

This practical course is designed to make operatives fully conversant in the operation of the Gotcha CRD Rescue Kit and its various modes of use. Delegates will learn how to use the equipment to rescue an unconscious casualty or safely evacuate themselves from structures such as tower cranes.

The day is divided into two sessions:

  • Morning Session: Safety Harness Theory Training (including pre-use inspection)

  • Afternoon Session: Gotcha CRD Rescue (practical application and rescue techniques)

This training is intended for operatives who are already experienced and competent in the use of their personal fall protection equipment.

During the course, delegates will carry out activities at height to assess their ability to operate safely in such conditions. The height and exposure used in training will be recorded on the certificate for reference only and does not limit the height at which delegates may operate in future.
