Course Overview

This FIVE-DAY REMOTE course provides an understanding and knowledge of auditing quality management systems to third party
standards.

The objective of an audit is not fault finding, but to identify opportunities for improvement. You learn to build on the skills of how
to plan, structure and conduct an effective audit and to evaluate and communicate the findings. The course is designed to
follow the stages in a live audit, including simulated audit interviews and role play closing meetings.
This highly participative course is a practically based series of sessions using tutorials, case studies, interactive workshops and
open forum discussions culminating with an examination. The practical emphasis of the course and the high tutor to attendee

This course is certified by IRCA (Ref: A17118 The International Register of Certificated Auditors) and meets the training
requirements for individuals seeking registration as a Lead Auditor under the IRCA Auditor Registration Scheme. The
requirements include an examination and a certificate is issued on completion of the course.

Pre-course work
Delegates should:
already have a good knowledge of ISO 9001:2026 requirements, and the key principles of a QMS.
ensure they are able to bring a copy of the current ISO9001 Standard. This is available for purchase and PDF download
from the British Standards Institute website. Please call us on 02890 439624 if you need further guidance on obtaining a
copy. Due to licensing permissions we are not allowed to supply our own copies of the standard on this course.
