Course Overview

The slinger signaller plays a vital role in maintaining safety during lifting operations on construction sites and in other environments using cranes and heavy lifting equipment. Working from ground level, the slinger signaller communicates with the crane operator to guide and control load movement safely and efficiently.

This course provides the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to perform the duties of a slinger signaller in line with current legislation and industry standards such as BS 7121 and LOLER 1998.

Delegates will learn to use standard hand signals, radio communication and visual aids to direct lifting operations. They will also gain a clear understanding of their responsibilities, including authority to halt operations if unsafe conditions arise.
