Course Overview

The New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) 1991 requires all personnel working on or near public highways to hold valid NRSWA certification. This course provides full initial training for both Operatives (those carrying out the work) and Supervisors (those monitoring the work).
Delegates will gain the knowledge and practical skills to perform or oversee excavation and reinstatement of highways in accordance with legal, technical and safety standards.

The programme also covers signing, lighting and guarding procedures, utility work requirements and reinstatement best practices to ensure compliance with the NRSWA Code of Practice.
