Course Overview
This short course provides you with an introduction to the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, otherwise known as LOLER.
Course Content
LOLER training online starts by explaining what's meant by LOLER and what equipment is covered by LOLER, so staff understand the scope of the regulations before moving into practical detail. The course develops an understanding of lifting equipment safety, giving staff practical grounding in safe lifting operations rather than only the regulatory framework. LOLER training online covers the importance of maintenance of equipment and lifting equipment markings, so staff understand how to recognise whether equipment is safe and properly documented for use. The course finishes by covering the requirements LOLER requires when it comes to the protection of young persons, recognising that lifting operations carry particular risks for younger workers. Anyone who uses, supervises, or has responsibility for lifting equipment in their role. What is LOLER? The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, legislation covering the safe use of lifting equipment, which this course introduces.
